No. The Image to PDF, Merge PDFs, and Edit/Reorder Pages features all run entirely in your browser, so your files never leave your computer. The Translate feature only sends the extracted text (not the full file) to a free translation API for translation.
Go to the "Image → PDF" tab, select one or multiple JPG/PNG images, or drag-and-drop them. Use the up/down arrows to reorder, choose a page size (Fit / A4 / Letter), then click "Convert to PDF" — the PDF will download automatically.
Yes. On the "Merge PDFs" tab, upload two or more PDF files, adjust the order with the arrows, then click "Merge & Download". All the PDFs will be combined into a single PDF file and downloaded.
Yes. On the "Edit / Reorder Pages" tab, upload a PDF — use the ← → buttons to reorder pages, the ⟳ button to rotate, the ✕ button to delete, and the "Aa" button to add text boxes onto the page (with a white background option available). When done, click "Save Edited PDF".
No. The Translate feature only works with selectable/extractable text in a PDF, so it will not work on scanned or image-only PDFs (without OCR). For text-based PDFs, select the source and target language and click "Extract & Translate" — the translated text can also be downloaded as a .txt file.
Tamil, English, Hindi, Telugu, French, and Spanish are supported, along with an auto-detect option for the source language. Translation runs through a free public translation API, so larger documents may take a bit longer.
No installation is needed. PDF Toolbox is completely browser-based — it works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari, on both desktop and mobile.
There's no hard-coded limit, but since processing happens on your own device, very large files (especially a lot of high-resolution images or large PDFs) may run slower depending on your device's speed and memory.
